Curriculum & Lectures

JSA Mental Health curriculum and lectures are designed to educate on mental health awareness, primarily focusing on anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorders. Lectures are provided JSA Mental Health Consultants and partnerships with other certified mental health professionals. Below is the structured curriculum, inspired by established mental health educational programs:

Module 1. Introduction to Mental Health and Stigmas

  • Understanding mental health vs. mental illness, reducing stigmas, and the importance of awareness

Module 2. The Consultation Session (60–90 minutes)

  • Symptoms, causes, risks factors, and coping strategies for anxiety

Module 3. Understanding Depression

  • Signs of depression, biological and environmental factors, and treatment options

Module 4. Understanding Bipolar Disorder

  • Cycles of mania and depression, warning signs, and management techniques

Module 5. Treatments and Coping Strategies

  • Therapy options, medication, lifestyle changes, and self-care practices

Module 6. Seeking Help and Building Support

  • How to seek help, community resources, and promoting positive mental health

Lectures may be scheduled virtually (via Zoom) or in-person (approved onsite location).
